Sree Ramadasa Ashram is a Land of penance and realisation (Tapobhoomi), spread over 14 cents of land (1 cent = 40 sq. meter). The fourteen cents symbolise the 14 regions of spiritual existence explained in the Hindu Puranas as 14 worlds(Lokas) : 7 subtle and 7 grossworlds.
It is blessed with the presence of the Mahasamdhis of two saints who had lived and attained immortality more than one thousand years ago. It has been further sanctified by the 45-year long intense, incessant and penetrating penance of Brahmasree Neelakanta Gurupadar.
Uninterrupted recital of Adhyatma Ramayana for more than 8 decades. There is no place where the whole text is recited during the daytime daily. On special occasions, the recital continues late into the night and ends with abhishekam at 3 AM. This holy ritual started by Gurupadar is still carried out as Yajna. Aradhana is performed daily in the morning and at night at Samadhis and at Sakthi-Ganapathi and Rama-Sita-Anjaneya Shrines. Union of the worshipper and worshipped is the unique aspect of worship. SANKALPA is given more importance than ritualism.
